the newest addition to the queue...

ballet pullover Posted by Hello

Here it is - the newest project taking it's place in the knitting queue. The ballet pullover from the summer 2004 issue of interweave knits. I saw this issue in the store the other week and after thinking it over I decided to go back and pick up the magazine. Much to my dismay they had already stocked the fall issue! Luckily they sell back issues on their website.
The fun part will be choosing what yarn I'll use!
I think I'd like to stick with a light pink like the one shown in the picture.
They used Plymouth Napa yarn - I'll see if I can find it or something comparable.

But isn't it lovely?

Yes, it sure is lovely! I think it will be perfect for your not too cool winters, depending, of course, on the yarn you make it from. I don't know anything about Plymouth Napa, but surely you can find a nice cotton or cotton blend. I can't wait to see it once you've finish! :)

That's a lovely sweater! It has a distinctly Audrey shape to it, doesn't it? And the colour is very demure. What size needles does it use?

It's knitted in the round on size 11 needles and using double strands of yarn.
It *does* have a very Audrey style to it now that you mention it!

I really like the pink but I wonder if I would get more use out of it if I made it in black. Then again, in a darker color it would be harder to see the shaping in the front. Hmm.
